Dr. Anschel completed a B.S. in Biological Sciences summa cum laude, from the State University of New York in Buffalo. He then went on to earn a M.D. with honors in Physiology and Neuroscience, from the New York University program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Boston Children’s Hospital; followed by a 2-year fellowship in Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology at Stanford University in Pala Alto, CA. After fellowship at Stanford University, Dr. Anschel was co-director of the epilepsy program at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he also served as Assistant Professor of Neurology and Associate Scientist at Brookhaven National Laboratory. Currently he is the founding Director of the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center of Long Island and the Director of Clinical Neurophysiology at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, NY. This is the only NAEC Level 4 certified center in Suffolk County. Dr. Anschel has over 70 scientific and technical publications; and holds board certifications in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology, and Epilepsy.

Dr. Bruno is board certified in Neurology and Sleep Disorders. He completed his Neurology training at George Washington University in Washington, DC in 2003. He then went on to complete a fellowship in both Neurophysiology (Epilepsy/Neuromuscular Disorders) and Sleep Disorders at SUNY Stony Brook in 2004 and 2005 respectively. He is currently in solo practice and is Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology at SUNY Stony Brook. Dr. Bruno is also Associate Clinical Director of The Comprehensive Epilepsy Center of Long Island and offers clinical evaluations at the Sleep Disorders Center, both located at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, NY. Highly regarded by his patients, Dr. Bruno was rated at the highest level of satisfaction in a recent independent survey. He has won several merits of distinction, including several Patient’s Choice Awards, Americas Top Doctor Award and Most Compassionate Doctor Recognition. He was also the recipient of the Extraordinary People in Care Award by the Epilepsy Foundation of Long Island.
Dr. Bruno specializes in Sleep Apnea and Epilepsy, as well as general neurology. Fred A. Lado, MD PhD serves as Director, Epilepsy Program, Northwell Central and Eastern Regions for Northwell Health.
Dr. Lado received his MD and PhD degrees from NYU School of Medicine. His thesis research was on the use of magnetoencephalography (MEG) to examine human electrical brain activity. He completed his neurology residency at New York Hospital – Cornell Medical Center. He did his fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology at Montefiore Medical Center, where he remained on faculty for 18 years prior to joining Northwell. Dr. Lado serves on numerous boards and committees of the American Epilepsy Society, the International League Against Epilepsy, and the National Association of Epilepsy Centers. This past February, Dr. Lado joined Northwell as the Director of the Epilepsy Program in the central and eastern regions of the Northwell network. His specialty is Epilepsy.

Dr. Mehta has authored numerous articles for medical journals and book chapters in neurosurgery, neurophysiology and epilepsy and has been featured on national television as an expert in a variety of neuroscience topics. He has presented his research and clinical findings at international meetings and has received National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding for research towards the development of innovative therapies for the treatment of neurological disease.

She has clinical focus in epilepsy, dementia, neurosurgery (including wada procedure and both intra- and extra-operative cortical mapping), traumatic brain injury and stroke.
