As an affiliate of the Epilepsy Foundation of America, we are united in our mission to improve the lives of people affected by epilepsy through education, advocacy, research, and connection.

The Epilepsy Foundation Long Island offers a wide variety of programs to assist those living with epilepsy and seizure disorders from information and referral to education, support, and advocacy,

Through our community education and outreach programs, the Epilepsy Foundation Long Island serves as a resource to the 35,000 individuals in Nassau and Suffolk counties living with epilepsy or seizure disorders. We teach what epilepsy is, what it is not, and how to be supportive of people living with epilepsy by providing training on the causes, treatment, and proper first aid response to seizures for teachers, healthcare professionals, law enforcement and first responders, as well as the broader community. Our goals are to promote inclusion, understanding and acceptance in the community and equitable access to care.
