Substance Use Treatment Services
Healing Together, Stronger Together
The South Child Guidance Center’s CARE Center provides chemical dependency treatment to individuals who have substance use disorders, as well as offers supports to their significant others, and loved ones including children of people who struggle with substance use.
It is our belief that substance use disorders are a disease that pose serious social and psychological problems to our society. It affects not only the person diagnosed with a substance use disorder, but their families as well.
Research has shown that children of parents who have substance use disorders are more likely than other youngsters to suffer a variety of physical, mental, and emotional health problems.
Services are offered to adolescents and adults with chemical dependency problems. The CARE Center offers chemical dependency education, individual/group counseling, and a DWI Offenders Program.
South Shore Guidance Center provides Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) including Vivitrol, Suboxone and Sublicade (induction and maintenance).
South Shore Guidance Center is a member agency of Long Island’s United Way, and a licensed and funded agency of the Nassau County Department of Mental Health, Chemical Dependency and Developmental Disabilities, New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports.
